Prof. Dr D D Kale's photo
Professor (Dr) D. D. Kale is an Honorary Chancellor at the Polymerupdate Academy. He obtained his Ph. D. from the University of Salford, UK. He has a vast teaching experience over last 40 years. He retired from University of Mumbai’s Department of Chemical Technology, UDCT, Mumbai in 2005 as a Professor of Polymer Technology and as a Head of the Department of Polymer Engineering.

He has been associated with many industries as a consultant in India and abroad. He was a Provost at the Plastindia International University for two years. He was a visiting Professor in South Korea.
Professor Kale has trained more than 5000 undergraduate and post graduate students in India and abroad. He has also trained more than 1000 industry personnel. He has authored two books. He has conducted many customized training programs for Plastic and Chemical Industry.

His research interests are in polymer processing, rheology, product design and recycling. He has guided 28 Ph. D. and 65 Masters Students. He has published more than100 papers in peer reviewed journals. He has one patent to his credit.

He has presented papers in many National and International conferences such as IUPAC and travelled widely. He was honoured as a Jewel of LIT, Nagpur and with life time achievement award by the Colour Society.

He was a member of high-power expert committee to Government of Maharashtra on environmental issues. He was also a member of committee to define single use plastics set up by Ministry of Chemicals and fertilizers, New Delhi.
