Indrajeet Chandrakant Nikam is the Co-founder and Director of TGP Bioplastics, an award-winning, United Nations Industrial Development Organization-recognised startup developing low-carbon, compostable, and affordable alternatives to conventional plastics. A mechanical engineering graduate with a strong interest in manufacturing and operations, he is driven by a deep concern for environmental degradation and a clear commitment to building a greener future.

At TGP Bioplastics, Indrajeet has led ideation, research, laboratory experimentation, pilot development, and commercialization of a novel biodegradable polymer blend for flexible packaging—achieving lower production and operating costs. Under his leadership, the company has secured multiple national awards, research grants, and funding exceeding ₹2 crore, along with significant commercial growth.

He also serves as an Expert Advisor with Lynk Global, where he provides freelance advisory support on bioplastics development and market intelligence for clients in India and internationally.

Indrajeet has contributed to advanced research in biodegradable plastic manufacturing through projects supported by the Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission, working under distinguished scientific leadership and participating in grant-backed innovation initiatives.

He holds an MBA in Finance from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, a Diploma in Labour Law from Shivaji University, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Rajarambapu Institute of Technology. He has further strengthened his management expertise through professional certifications from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
